The Dirección de Verdad, Justicia y Reparación (Board of Truth, Justice and Reparation) is a subset of Paraguay’s Defensoría del Pueblo.

This institution emerged from the final report of the Truth and Justice Commission, with the objective of implementing the Commission’s reparation measures and other recommendations; sharing its work at national and international levels; continuing the investigation and search for “disappeared” people; encouraging active citizen interest in the historic and documented truth of the violence which occurred in Paraguay from 1954-1989; preserving historical memory; and principally contributing to stopping Human Rights violations in Paraguay.
