In memory of those who were victims of the slave trade and slavery, Memorial ACTe is set on Guadeloupian soil, on the site of the former Darboussier sugar factory.
The museum promotes historical insight, peace, and concord among communities, and raises awareness.
Besides being a place for contemplation, commemoration, and reconciliation, Memorial ACTe uses art, culture, and research as a means of expression and a way of sharing knowledge.
Memorial ACTe is a hymn to freedom and it also aims to be a reminder to all that there is no attribution, no fate, or determinism that cannot be transcended and that by no means should the past become a prison.
