Post-Conflict Research Center (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Post-Conflict Research Center (PCRC) is a women-led, peacebuilding organization and research center dedicated to fostering a culture of peace and preventing violent conflict in the Western Balkans by creating, implementing, and supporting evidence-based, multidisciplinary, and innovative approaches to peace education, creative multimedia, conflict prevention, post-conflict research, human rights, and transitional justice. With a reach of over one million people annually, PCRC’s core programs create a framework for “best practice” in the fields of peacebuilding, transitional justice, and intercultural cooperation and dialogue. PCRC has received several international recognitions for its work including the 2014-15 Intercultural Innovation Award, top-5 finalist of the 2015 Diversity Advantage Challenge Award, 2017 Intercultural Achievement Award, 2018 Global Peace Ambassador Award and the 2022 Local Peacebuilder Award. PCRC utilizes an adaptive, strategic, and arts-based peacebuilding model, therein carving a space for plural, locally driven narratives, amplifying the capacities and networks of local actors, and allowing for context-driven program design.
